Frequently Asked Questions

How thick does a garage slab need to be?

Standard residential garage slabs are 4–5 inches thick. If you're parking heavy trucks, RVs, or equipment, we recommend 5–6 inches with rebar reinforcement. We'll recommend the right spec during your estimate.

Do slabs need to be reinforced?

All our slabs include reinforcement. Light-duty slabs get wire mesh. Heavier applications — garages, equipment pads, commercial spaces — get rebar. Reinforcement is what keeps a slab from cracking into pieces if the ground shifts.

How long does a slab take to complete?

Most residential slabs are poured in a single day once the base prep is complete. Base prep typically takes a day. You can walk on it after 24–48 hours and drive on it after 7 days.
